The 53rd Paris International Tournament, one of the oldest annual European competitions, was held on 4–6 April. This event attracted 177 participants, over 50 of which were ranked 1-dan or higher.
The winner was Dai Junfu 8d, who remained undefeated in all six rounds. Bao Yifan 5d finished second, and Yuze Xing 6d took third place.
