The European Championship 2026 was held on 26 July–2 August at the European Go Congress in Ankara, Turkey. The strongest 32 European players battled in a double-elimination system until eight players were selected for the play-off.
Andrii Kravets 3p beat Ali Jabarin 3p in the final. You can view the record of their game below. This is Andrii’s third European Championship, following victories in 2023 and 2024.
Lukáš Podpěra 7d beat Denis Dobranis 6d in the match for third place. Denis was one of the sensations of the tournament after beating Mateusz Surma 4p in the quarter-final.
