The 2026 European Student Championship was held on 19–20 September in Izmir, Türkiye, and brought together 17 participants.
Arved Pittner 6d remained undefeated in all five rounds and claimed the Championship. Ondrej Kralik 4d lost only to Arved and was the runner-up. Marianna Szychowiak 2d finished third with three wins. Berke Uner 2d won three games as well, but finished fourth due to a lower SOS.
The top three players qualified for the World Students GO OZA Championship in Tokyo next February.
