The EGC 2026 in Ankara, Turkey was held on 25 July–8 August and brought together nearly 500 participants from all over the world.
Such important events of the EGF as the European Championship (winner: Andrii Kravets 3p) and the Pandanet European Team Championship (winner: the Ukrainian team) were held at the EGC.
The EGC, as ever, featured plenty of open tournaments: Main Open, Rapid, Blitz, Youth, Women, Senior, Nations Cup, etc. The biggest one traditionally was the Main Open with 317 participants (winner: Ahn Yongho 7d).
The next EGC will take place in Den Bosch, Netherlands. The website is already online: EGC 2027.
