On 15th January, 2018, Lee Sedol 9P (KOR) defeated Ke Jie 9P (CHN) in the Haevichi Cup by 1.5 points. Haevichi Cup was a special event which held by Haevichi website and Korea Baduk association. The prize for the champion was 30 million KRW and a SUV from Hyundai; the second place got 10 million KRW. After this game, the record between Ke and Lee became 11:4.
In this game, Lee took advantage in the beginning, but Ke Jie played really well in the right lower corner fight and reversed the game, but at a vital moment, Lee Seedol played again his “god move” (move 197 in the game record) and connected his group back! In the endgame, Lee played steadily and won by 1.5 point.
